This was deplorable. A company that boasts about how secure their device keeps kids on the internet, also knowing that there are thousands upon thousands of kids who rely on this device; not to mention the parents who have placed their trust in this device, but when it has a problem that affects the multitude of users, not one person from the company bothers to get a message to the parents? You can push a message stating that there was an update but you can’t push a message stating an outage? Seriously? Absolutely deplorable! When my kids told me they could not access anything, my first order of business was to see if there was a message from the company stating there was an outage. NOTHING! Either there was nothing or they didn’t post it where everyone could see it. Utterly deplorable. Well someone had better do something to gain the trust back from the parents who now feel they may have made a mistake selecting this device. I voiced this concern before I purchased this software, which was, what happens when the servers themselves go down, since all of the security settings are “on their servers” and not “local” to us? I didn’t like the response but I purchased it anyway, thinking they would notify us if that ever happened. And here it is happening, and from the looks of the messages above, no one was contacted in any way about the situation. I am extremely disappointed and just plain flabbergasted! I seriously expected more from this company. All of the people I spoke with before purchasing this device sounded “very” professional. Yet, there was nothing professional about this outage today. Somebody had better have some good responses to these good people who had to endure this outage, especially those kids who had homework to do. Utterly preposterous!
