Setting the filter high will block Netflix and a few others. For anything bittorent, I block it on the routher the koalasafe is connected to. There are a lot of different variations of torrent sites so I have several of them blocked. They are sites that can get your wifi disconnected if you are with Comcast. I didn’t know anything about those sites until I received a menacing email from Comcast informing me that pirated files were downloaded from a specific site and if it happens again my account will be shut down. Since they told me the site in the email, I blocked it, and monitored my router logs nightly. My teens were downloading mega stuff from many of those sites. So each site that I saw in the router log, I blocked it until I had them all, or all of the ones they knew about anyway. But when it’s serious, I block it on my router. I routinely check my router logs and if I see a site that looks suspicious, I go to that site to see what it is, and if I don’t like it, BLOCKED! They get a rude message that the site has been blocked by netgear. Dare they come to me and question it? I think not. I have so many sites blocked it takes up a couple of pages. But it’s all done on the router. I can’t rely on koalasafe to do everything.
