Alos, it doesn’t allow for turning off internet outside of internet times. i.e. if child misbehaves, i’fd like to prevent the internet from coming on
You can do that -
Restrict time -> Rest of today
Ah, yes, thanks Adam. What is confusing me is that the browser app is able to do it but the iOS app can’t yet. I interchange between them often.
Yes the browser app is the first to get new features.
This will be in the mobile apps next week
I’d like to be able to bypass the big red button for individual profiles. i.e. Apply the big red button, then progressively allow normal scheduling to profiles as I choose.
I agree, this could be in the drop down list items, possibly
If the schedule is currently on id like to be able to turn it off sooner than the scheduled time by using the restrict button,
This is currently possible.
Does your profile page look like this? If not try updating the app.
My profile page is same as yours except it says internet is on.
Can you please read my question again. It doesn’t seem possible to me.
My understanding is you want to turn the internet off if it is currently on?
To do this, click the restrict time button and choose how long you wish to disable it.
No, I want to turn it off sooner than the scheduled time (when its currently on), not straight away,
The ability to allocate or restrict bandwith per profile or device would be awesome! There are many times that I have to video conference with clients while both kids are trying to view Netflix. As it stands I have to shut off all their access in order to ensure Quality of Service for my video conference.
From user Mike C, “I’d like an education category in usage, so I can better compare gaming and education. Or, the ability to categorise sites as I please”
Is there a way of disabling the Facebook Messenger app for Iphone from receiving messages? My daughter cant send anything but it shows her being online to the point where she can receive messages and have face book blocked as well as ios apps…
Is iOS Communications Blocked under Social Media? This controls the incoming iOS push notifications for all apps.
I need to be able to rename the SSID of the KoalaSafe. I have an 11 year old with severe anxieties, whose condition is confounding his doctors. I need to make the switch to the KS without triggering his fears.
This is on our list, but no ETA at the moment. Your plan would be to make KoalaSafe SSID match the current one, then change the current one to something else for parent devices?
Yes, in addition to not broadcasting the parent SSID. Or, I wire the parent devices and use cell phone networks to access the Koala account with the phones, using the Koala as the only visible WiFi in the house.
It would be good if there were a local link that worked from devices to allow the child to see how much time remained - or if the internet is off, what the schedule is.
Hi @ptone , there is always the ‘analog’ solution that we’ve had to adopt… hehehe
+1 for a url/dashboard that the kids can view/see.
