@adam, here I am again with the same issue that has been a recurring (and disappointing) user experience since I purchased the KoalaSafe device:
It is evening here in Texas. My son needs Internet access for 30 minutes. “No problem,” I think to myself, “That’s what the Koala is for.” I open the Koala iPhone app, tap to my son’s profile, and grant him 30 minutes of Internet access.
And then it happens: “Dad, I can’t access the Internet,” my son says. I check to make sure his laptop is connected to the Koala wifi. It is. I fiddle with the settings from inside the iPhone app without success. My son has just over 30 minutes before bedtime so I disconnect his laptop from the Koala wifi and connect it to my wireless router knowing I’ll have to remember to disconnect his laptop from the wireless router later and noting that it was this sort of inconvenience that I had hoped to be free of when I purchased the KoalaSafe device.
While my son is getting his work done, I check his iPod. It is connected to the Koala wifi but it is not connected to the Internet. I am unable to connect to any websites that I try from his iPod.
I know that I will write up another post (this one you’re reading now) describing my situation and that in the morning here in Texas the issue will probably be remedied. However, that doesn’t solve my problem now.
@adam, I need some information so that I can make a decision about whether or not to continue with KoalaSafe. What can you share with me to remedy my issue so that I have a user experience that delivers on the KoalaSafe promise: “easily manage the time [my children] spend online”?
Thanks in advance.
